Mistakes

One thing we can all agree on is that we are human and fallible. Even on our best day, we remain human. We have made more than our share of mistakes. Those who think they haven’t are simply blinded by pride. The good news is that we have someone smarter than we are, in whom we can place our confidence.

It Is Written

PSALM 119:98 -100 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever mine. ⁹⁹ I have more insight than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. ¹⁰⁰ I understand more than those who are old, because I have complied with Your precepts.

Our Teacher

Studying the Bible promises that we will be more insightful than our teachers and more understanding than those older than us. Who wouldn’t want that? God’s promises are sure, and we can count on them.

Prayer

Lord, help us hunger and thirst for Your word. It reveals the way of life, truth, light, hope, and promise. It holds hidden mysteries and lays bare the motives of our souls. It searches our hearts and shows us ways that are not pleasing to You. It is the path of life, leading us in ways that are higher. Pour out a hunger and thirst for Your word upon us. We need to know the truth. You are truth.
