Revealing Your Identity

Just as physical characteristics are inherited from our biological parents, what comes out of our mouths reveals our spiritual inheritance. That’s a mouthful! According to scripture, what comes out of our mouths reveals our hearts. What do your words reveal about you?

It Is Written

MATTHEW 15:10 -11, 18 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. ¹¹ What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.” ¹⁸ But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them.

Heirs of the King

A child of the King represents the King and His kingdom. Our hearts, words, actions, and the way we dress should bring honor and glory to God and His kingdom. What do your heart, words, actions, and the way you dress reveal about you?

Prayer

Lord, we fall short in so many ways. we can easily take the driver's seat on the throne of our lives, planning where we go and what we do or say. We can easily react in the flesh and respond to others in the same way. I don’t want to. I take my rightful seat beneath the throne of my life and ask You to be the driver in my life. I want to go where You lead, speak what You say, and respond, submitted to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I want to walk in a manner worthy of You and Your kingdom. Help me.
