You Make a Difference

If I were the devil, I would spend 24/7 trying to make people believe that who they are and what they do make no difference. What power belief holds. The space between our ears is 5.2-6.5 inches. That is not very big, but it makes a huge difference in our lives, depending on who or what we allow within those confines.

It Is Written

PHILIPPIANS 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. ⁹ As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

DEUTERONOMY 7:9 “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.

A Lasting Inheritance

What I do and how I live matter to my children, myself, and my circle of influence. We all want to leave an inheritance for our children. How about passing on God’s covenant and mercy for a thousand generations? Approximately 1,964 to 1,965 years have passed since that scripture was written. A thousand generations is equivalent to 25,000-40,000 years. The number of people affected by the life we live would have over 300 digits! That is a pretty big impact!

Prayers

Lord, help me live this day with the sobering truth that what I allow my mind to meditate on, what I allow my hands to do, where I allow my feet to go, and what I allow my mouth to say matter greatly and have a lasting impact on me, my family, and my circle of influence.
